A nice word. People consider it as positive. Someone you can trust has an advantage. Sometimes you almost do it automatically. Some positions are considered and have the esteem of trust. Elder and wise people are one of them.
But there should be caution. There are people and parties who are living from it and depending on it. But are they really standing besides their stories. Are their actions in line with their words. Or are it just nice stories.
Stories you would gladly like to believe but are nevertheless beyond reality. It takes knowledge on the matters to see what is going on. You have to take some effort. For example asking for the opinion of others. Preferably by experts. There is a moment to use a critical mind and think. As if your live depends on it.
The thought it will be alright or it is not that bad is something politicians and administrators say a lot. They are making promises all the time. With excuses afterwards. They play a game on the back of us civilians.
If the press does find out that it went wrong a political debate will follow. Yes , only than. With all possible disadvantages for them. It is not for nothing that the government is starting with a campaign on fake news. It is needful when you spread it yourself .
Credibility is something precious to them and all means are than allowed. The media uses and miss uses the news because of that. For them it is an business model of course. Bad news has better selling rates. Their finance is not only depending on commercials. There is more than that. Rich and influential parties are using their means in the media. Real independency is scarse.
A critical , sharp , engaged and free spirit is crucial. only than you really can see what is going on.
