Global warming , and what to do.

Indeed and what to do. What are all the things we should really do differently. How is that global warming on this planet created. Who is really the creator of the greenhouse effect? Where should the government put their priorities. The cars? Using warmth from the earth? The aeroplanes? Just have a look at the following movie.

So everything should be much clearer now. That piece of meat on your plate. The glass of milk that you are drinking. That fridge also.

At this moment they put a lot of effort on windmills and solarpanels. But we have to realize that this energy is not uninterrupted. Just like the usage of electricity. It needs to be stored somehow. A good , fast and big network could help. There is at any given moment somewhere wind. But storage is less developed at the moment. There is quite a big challenge there.

One of the things we need to keep in mind is the energy density. The space that is needed to produce the energy. For windmills this is gigantic and solar panels also huge. Fossil fuels are very compact and transportable. Do we fill half of the Netherlands , or even world , with windmills? Yes , because that could be the consequence. We than can also say goodbye to all the birds in that area. Windmills also need a lot of maintenance. More than solar panels. Planes are using less energy and produce less C2 that all data centre’s form Google, Facebook etc.. all together.

There are many things that are not being told. Politicians and people with a certain interest and agenda are that transparent. In their way only. Ed Nijpels , Diederik Samson are politicians and people with their interest but not much more than that. Whose interest? Wit what kind of agenda? Diederik Samson is in origin coming from Greenpeace. Greenpeace who is guarding and trying to safe the climate in their opinion. But they never spoke out against the meat industry. One of the biggest if not the biggest causer of the climate change. Whom can you trust? Who can I believe? Where can I find the right information.

I have a suggestion for that two books.1.) The green Illusion , Why we can not save the climate with a few windmills and solar panels ( In Dutch by the way ). – Maarten Van Andel. 2.) Drawdown , the most comprehensive plan ever proposed to roll back global warming – Paul Hawken.

You could just read these books. Trust is sometimes good but checking is always better. That is something we have to do ourselves. Yes , you as well. Wishing you lots of wisdom.

The table model , the new dutch way of compromise.

It is again almost time to take your seat at the Christmas table. A time to enjoy the many pleasures that we believe to be attached to Christmas. The house can be beautifully decorated. The lights may shine abundantly. The groceries need to be in on time. Before you know the turkey , tournedos , steak and more are sold out. Quickly fetch that exquisite wine at the liquor store. Should I take that cognac as well?

The whole family is welcome to join on the first or second day of Christmas. To enjoy these wonderful days. There have been written articles with advice how to behave and avoid quarrels. Apparently it is handy to stick to a few rules. This to avoid problems. To give an example. You can wear an wrong Christmas sweater. Maybe decorated with lights as well. But if put those lights an a yellow vest and join the table you will have a problem.if you throw the problems of the world on the table. It is not a time for that. It is time to….. .

You have to be dressed appropriate and also behave in that way. I am wondering if the climate tables , that have to finish this week by the Dutch government , do have a good and appropriate occupation.

The motto was to create a big and broad basis for climate measures. I am curious whom from the yellow vests have attended. The multinationals could for sure. Other organizations , foundations with entwined interests or not , also. But the common man , woman or child? No.

Furthermore you are already making compromises but there is no space for half measures. Does politics know that this way of handling will not work. They talk in nice words about their ambitions and promises but it is all make believe. They are the worst boy in class. Its about doing things. Real things only. .

In the current way you are losing time and efficiency. They do not realize that there is no more time. Do as much as you can as fast as you can should be the motto. If something works go full for that. Take the lowest hanging fruits first. Eating less meat is a good start. No meat at all even better.

But wars are not over yet as well. Again the same year done over. When are we finally going to fulfil our real potentials. Going to the barricades. Put on a yellow vest . Put people in first place. Not the economy but us. We all together.

Junglebook , or how social media goes wild.

The social media is going wild. You can think of Thierry Baudet in Holland. But also Donald Trump who is swinging from tweet to tweet. Twitter is one of the many media. Facebook , Instagram , Whatsapp and more. Its all on the eye of the beholder. Just click on the eye below and you will get the info as is stated on Wikipedia.

The eye is mostly full of it. But the world as well. So much information. About everything you can think of. And by everybody. But in use also about everyone. In silence your data is analyzed and used. Meanwhile the rest is almost shouting their opinion. In the beginning you could look at it as a free and social medium. But at the moment you are being harassed by stakeholders , using your data profile , with products and messages in which they are interested. The journalism also looses its freedom. Without adds , preferably aimed , they have a difficult business model. Politics does not bring only their story to everyone but is seeking for their target via micro profiling in the social media. Banners of companies are shooting at your screen. If it is all true is not really relevant. Its all about product placement. People are getting more urban. The world in which we live is full with social media. The social media is getting more and more intense. Also less reliable and less true. The many faces in the book of social media are not really good visible anymore. To me it looks like a big jungle. A Junglebook so to say.

It is an art for everyone of us to make a honest and clear picture of the world we live in. To avoid living in the madness of the day. Brought by the news of the day. Learn to recognize and recognize fake news. Seeing the bullshit in the agenda’s of persons and companies. Being able to see the real important things and in their context. As these things are going slowly you need to find and look specifically for that information. There are a number of media that are trying to do a good job. I name the following: De Correspondent (website) , Follow The Money (website) , Cafe Weltschmerz (YouTube). Or read critical books. For example De Groene Illusie , De Crisis Karavaan , Verloren In Wanorde , Bullshit Jobs , Ongeloofwaardig or Feitenkennis. VPRO Tegenlicht is also interesting. There they are going into depth of things and place it in the context. But even than you should keep the following in mind:

You may make a guess who made this statement. He was somebody who did take time and a calm mind to think about things. Not reacting on impulse. Or a primitive reflex. But calmly thinking and according certain values. Let the stress and chaos for what is and be yourself. Your real self.

Yellow Vests , a triumph from Paris.

The world is in movement. The money is still on its way to the rich.

Subsidies for the energy transition is going to the companies. The taxes therefore have to be raised another time. The polluter has to pay. They let us believe that the car driver is the one who has to pay more excise duties on the gasoline. The people who are doing their groceries in the supermarket can pay extra VAT. Lets get the money from the mass. That’s where you can get the most in the easiest way.

Does the politician have to choose for the lobbyist? The man who gives him things , assurances and deludes him to a nice future. The politician thinks it is not that wise. The lobbyist has that much power. We can better be friends. He is also to smart. The citizen I can tell them anything and they will eat it like candy.

The citizens , specially those who are vulnerable , are being divided. Divided by politician with populistic agendas. Like for example Marine Le Pen and Geert Wilders. Its all to blame on the foreigners. Not the real point of pain but for them a nice insurance to get a few seats in parlement. Or Macron who is just taking over the points of view of the companies. Just like Mark Rutte. If we let them make huge profits and at the same time low taxes everything will be fine.

The political party for education , the one of Rob Jetten , is saying that a good education is key. Meanwhile there are supporting that all students have to lend for their entire education. Also forgetting that it is not a job guarantee. Specially in a more and stronger globalizing world. The Party of Labour , where Lodewijk Ascher is the leader , who do not understand that because of their name they are only representing robots and artificial intelligence shortly. The Green & Left party , with Jesse Klaver as their leader , who is only for real safe and sustainable energy. This will however make the world only less green and put a very heavy bill with the citizens of the world. Poverty on a major scale lures around the corner and with that their left point of view as well.

Things are already getting hot in Paris.

Is it really going to turn into chaotic situations. Looking at the last few days it could go easily go that way. The yellow vest could become a symbol in which many people can find themselves. Going into an avalanche and possibly turning into a severe revolutionary situation.

It could also become the symbol of the Precariat. Strange and also anarchic is the fact that there is no real leadership. A dialog for example between Macron and the leaders is not really possible. Leaders like Macron have to think themselves and work on the solutions. That will be difficult. Although they are representing the people they are not a part of the people already for a long time. They are the elite and therefore elitists. Their intelligence also seems to help them to get in that situation.

But if I would be in their shoes I would go quickly on a crammer. In earlier times the Sun King was abundantly to late with that. That is the reason why the word revolution still has a French flavour. But that could become European or Global now as well.

Pills , and their costs.

Medicine. They often come in the form of pills. Being made by the pharmaceutical companies.

After much research available for you. They have spend a lot of money , time and effort to make it. That you can see in the prices they are asking. In many cases its huge. Its for a reason that the pharmaceutical sector is one of the best profit making sectors there is.

In most cases they have a patent and therefore the sole right to ask what they want. A monopoly in words. The patentright is lasting for 20 years. But even after that they mostly hold power. They are enforcing in many cases a right of exclusivity on the market. So they can continue their monopoly even further. They are making gigantic profits with it.

Development of medication costs money. But how much money it exactly costs they do not show. Real transparency is something we do not get from the companies. The hospitals , health insurance companies and the government do not know what the costs actually are. They do not stand strong against the multinationals looking at in from the perspective of power. Negotiating a reasonable price.

Or do they?? The government could use a parole so they have to renounce the patentright in the concerning country. Than it can be made generically and local. As long as they dit not got the right of exclusivity. Because than there is no other thing than to accept the situation.

This is however frequently the case. No wonder that the costs of health and social security are the main fields of expenses for the Dutch. Both around 80 billion.

It looks strongly that there is no case of fair profit. Putting it mildly. From my perspective there should be no more granting of the right of exclusivity. Via the principle of the parole the real costs should be made clear in detail. Based upon those costs grant a fair profit. Et voila a fair price.

Everybody thinks that through patentright innovation is guarded and taking place. But it also creates monopolies. Raises prices. Obstructs development. Has now a days its own trading and market.

Patents should protect the inventor to develop his product and bringing it to the market. But in almost all sectors there are lots of patents which are not used at all. Just trying to block your competitors. That kind of shit.

My idea would be to abolish the right on patents. Innovation should more be made and done on intrinsic grounds. All the lawyers in the business who work on patents should do something that is really worthwhile.

The art of becoming older.

Becoming older as an art. Or is it more a matter of common sense. Worse even just luck.

If you look back in history from a current perspective it all looks logical. Better hygiene , healthy sufficient nutrition and the development of medication. It makes that the life expectation of people is becoming much higher. Child death rate is strongly being reduced. There is more and diverse medication becoming available. Doctors are gaining more knowledge. Hospitals are becoming more and more easier to reach. People themselves are becoming more and more aware about a good and healthy lifestyle.

The wheels in the clock to become older look like to become smoother. But there are grains of sand who can crawl in time into the clockwork. The wear and tear of the body can sometimes become beyond repair. Medication can not always cure but mostly take away the pain. Or stabilize the illness somewhat. But sometimes also not. New medication , appliances and techniques are being developed. However it also looks like that with the growth of the world population also the illnesses and their kind are growing. Illnesses for which its harder and harder to develop medication.

Everybody has its own clockwork and you never know how the condition of the wheels are. Maybe you are lucky. But perhaps bad luck is own your way. It can happen any moment. With a little luck your bad luck can be fixed. It is always the question when and for how long you can enjoy form a healthy and fit body and mind.

If for example an organ is saying: sorry I can not do this anymore. You have bad luck. But maybe we did arrange it in a good way and a transplantation is possible. We can bring back luck and happiness some times. But you are depending on factors and their is no real certainty.

Society , particularly the economic one , is taking no risks. They are gladly offering you work. Specially in the blossom of your life. You can put all your time and energy in it. Show what you can do! But it has to give a profit. Than you will be encouraged. Better and faster than the other? Yes , please. The compliment is on its way. Maybe more salary as well. But there is not much time and space to calm down and for reflection. For the question: What do I really establish? That is one for later. Meanwhile the pressure can go to a high level. Stress can become you best friend easily. The relation with stress is a slowly steeling one. It also often displaces almost unnoticeable your other friend health. Which relationship do you prefer??

Important is that what is important in life. Specially in your life. That is something you have to figure out by yourself. Something that only you should think about. Preferably as early as possible. They should not tell you. You need to experience it. Feel it. If you have found what you love than you have made a huge and important step. Doing what you love will make you free. That art everyone should achieve before it is to late. To late to do it. Having regrets of what you have done. Buddha was right when he said: The problem is that you think you have time. There is no time. Only here and now. What you think and what you do. From that you have to make the best and nothing else.

And the medical world is meanwhile focusing to keep people as long as possible and as good as possible alive. That is a good ambition but what do we do with it. What are the possibilities. Are those possibilities available for everyone. How does life look like after the medication. May people in the western world stay alive because of expensive medication while at the same time in other parts of the world people live in poverty and die from hunger. Is it not better to make the world better step by step. First take away the hunger , next solve poverty and then look how we make life as healthy as possible. It are all ethical questions that we need to give a certain value.

Let’s than also try to give death an ethical value. Is he really an enemy? Or a friend. He makes you think about what you are doing. An eternal life would also create a continuous repetition of steps. The nicest things in life loose their charme. The once in a lifetime will get a total other dimensions.

Enjoying life is the art. Getting older and older is not really a necessity for that. Health yes. But eternal life is not needed from my perspective.

Social Justice.

There is a new revolution on its way. This is always the case if there is a big gap between a few rich and many poor. Look at the French revolution. Where the King and noblemen could do what they like. At some point enough is enough and people will open their eyes and unite. Unite , and if needs be fight , in order to get a fair share of what the world has to offer.

At that time things where maybe a little simpler than now a days. The information and news that we are receiving currently is huge. Not only books , as in the old days , but also television and internet with its social media. Its enormous and the world is much more diverse. Whom can I believe? Are the politicians telling the truth? What is fake news? Are the neo-liberals right? Is profit the only thing to consider? Ego the only thing to work at?

Yes , we are heaving more wealth nowadays that in the time of the French revolution. But the gap between rich and poor are still huge. The uncertainty of having work is growing. The multinationals are getting more and more flexibility in that perspective. Slavery is around the corner. AI is going to help them more and more. Wages for labour are under pressure. All for the profits of the rich. Even the taxes can be easily avoided.

In the last decades you can see that the politicians have assisted them by adjusting regulations in their favor. Flex contracts , payroll constructions , easier ways to fire and more. Are the politicians not representing the people?

If we need to be flexible there should be social responsibility by the companies. The politicians could create flexibility but they should never forget that social justice is the most important value.

If you keep this in mind and focus on that you could create freedom for everyone. Basic income does have that value and more.

Its really time that the politicians show vision. If not they will become obsolete. No one will vote and they loose their mandate.

Vacation , a time for reflection.

Or is it just a time to forget everything and have fun. Also an option. Recharging your battery. Read a good book. Surf on the waves but also on the internet.
Maybe you found this website and are reading this right now.

What do you think right now? Of your personal life. Your work. Your family. The country where you are staying. Do you like how it feels and looks like?
Finally some time to think on bigger things than the small daily stuff. Where am I , what am I doing and am I and/or are we going in the right direction.

I should not be writing right now. You should send us mails with things that are not feeling good. Asking us: Do you see a solutions for the problems in this world.
So please send us those mails.

Meanwhile I would like to make a more clear picture on how the world is really like. Its about people. Living somewhere. Trying to make a better life. Its maybe not the place where they where born. They maybe are also not welcome where they are. They have their own culture. A different religion from yours. You probably did not meet them as they are living in a more or less by the government designated special place in a village or town. Maybe they would like to mingle. But that is difficult because of several reasons.

There is on you tube a very nice cafe. Its called Cafe Weltschmerz. They have made a nice movie on this subject. Better to say on what the dutch minister of foreign affairs , Stef Blok , apparently thinks on this.
The movie is in Dutch by the way.

It raises questions. Should we do something with it? Can we do something with it? What should we keep in mind. From my perspective we should honor different cultures. As long as they are respecting every human and their well being. In a good culture , there are many , they will go beyond that and try to help to lift people to a higher level. Of understanding , respect , honesty and love.

If that is not the case we have to ask ourselves the question: Is that because of the culture? Or because of the people? Maybe stigmatization and or injustice plays a role here. To the culture. To the people. My question would be: Is that fair? Or is something else going on?

We might be on vacation but our mind keeps on thinking. Do it wisely.

Donations , the making of.

Just added some details in the sidebar in order for you to make a donation if you like this site , our foundation and the perspectives that we have on this world.
It would be nice that we can continue our effort in making this world a better place.

There is only the information of our bank account number and you have to make a small effort to transmit us your donation. There is no fancy pop-up button. No choices in kinds of payments like paypall , ideal and whatever. No quick way so that your finger is faster than your mind. It really takes time and you have the time to think it over.

Is this a good choice? I do think so. There is nothing more harm full than spending money on the wrong things. It should be spend on things that are worthwhile and could really make a difference.
Also if money is being spend it should be spend on the real thing.

Let me make this a little bit clear with a small example. If you would like to give a street artist an euro. You can throw it in his box.

But if you use an electronic button he only gets something like 75 cents. The rest is going to the company who provides that button. Every time and all the time. That is a nice business. This goes for all donations in that way.

What is their really added value. I do not think that it is that much. In my opinion its like a legal robbery in small amounts. Again and again.
This is the reason why we are not using something like this.

Maybe a nice consideration for all the other ngo’s.
